Online Health Chats & Webinars
Online Chats
The Comfort Ability offers regular online chats for children and adolescents with chronic pain and functional symptoms, as well as parents and caregivers. The chats are a safe place for individuals who share a common condition to ask questions, discuss concerns and offer each other support. The health professionals who moderate the chats will not be able to give you specific medical or psychological advice but will be able to provide you with general information and resources.
About chat moderators: Moderators who provide health information are professionals at Boston Children’s Hospital and are identified during chats with a professional title, i.e. Psychologist. Please note that any chat participant who is not identified in this way should not be considered as a health professional. All chat participants must only submit information that is true and accurate and provide valid sources for any medical or health information. Advertising is prohibited on all of our chats.
If you’re interested in participating in an upcoming chat, please click on the link below. Children under the age of 13 require a parent or guardian to register them for the chat. On the form, we ask you for some personal medical information. We take your privacy very seriously, and will only use this information to find out if you are eligible for the chats. We keep your information strictly confidential, and do not use it in any other way, or share it with any other group or person. Learn more about our Privacy Policy.
Based on participant feedback and to provide more structure, future online chats will focus on a specific topic for the first 30 minutes of our 1-hour long health chats.
We want to know what you think! Let us know which of the following topics are most interesting to you and what you would like to see addressed in our online chats. To do so, please complete this survey.
